English Teacher / English NQT- Rochdale

This vacancy has now expired.

Job description

Are you an experienced English Teacher or an English NQT?

Are you seeking a new challenge in the upcoming academic year?

Working alongside our partner school in Rochdale, we are seeking an English Teacher or an English NQT to join the department in the upcoming academic year. This would be a full time position and would be an excellent opportunity for an experienced English Teacher as well as an English NQT seeking more experience in a secondary school environment in a school rated good by Ofsted.

Our client is a very popular joint faith school in the Heywood area, with excellent facilities for 11-18 year olds within a sixth form and secondary school. It has been rated 'good' by Ofsted with the school performing above the national average for attainment at GCSE level as well as their Progress 8 score - which continues to improve. There has been a recent refurbishment and renovation, mirroring their success as a school, with a state of the art learning support unit being provided for students with additional needs.

The successful candidate will be comfortable teaching English to a KS3 and a KS4 level and be passionate about delivering results and raising attainment. There is a strong English department already established in the school so there will be a large amount of support provided for the right candidate, whether this is an already experienced secondary English Teacher, or a recent English NQT seeking experience in a good school in Rochdale.
