This "outstanding" school is looking for English Literature or Language teachers or Newly Qualified Teachers looking to gain some experience.
English teachers with UK recognised qualification
Details about the role are below:
- A UK qualified English teacher (e.g. BA, QTS, PGCE)
- Teachers are required to have experience at KS3-5 level
- Rated by Ofsted as an "outstanding" school
- 5 days a week, 8:30am - 3:30pm
- Temporary role with option to go permanent
- 5 minute walk from Drayton Green station
The Role
The school has roles available for English Literature and Language teachers and Newly Qualified Teachers with a start date in September, however, interviews for these roles commence the week of the 4th June. Although the roles do not start till September, this school would like to fill the vacancies ASAP.
These specific vacancies would be a temporary position, with the option for a permanent at a later date, depending on the performance of the candidate and the attitude of the school. The successful candidate would be expected to work 8:30am till 3:30pm, 5 days a week as a full-time role. If this is not possible for some candidates there are part-time roles, but they are limited.
The school are searching for candidates who can engage the students with exciting lessons and an aim to get students interested in learning. Planning and conducting lessons would be expected, along with marking students work and providing feedback for them to build on. Experience working with SEN, languages or extra-curricular activities would be welcome.
The School
I have a fantastic school in Ealing looking for passionate new English teachers. This school demands and achieves high standards, not only from their student, but from their teachers to. The school has recently built facilities, no more than 5 years old including a new Sixth Form centre. Steeped in History, this school combined the old traditions and history of their school with new, up to date facilities that not only benefit the students, but also the staff.
They ensure these standards are maintained by promoting an atmosphere of encouragement and the development of good habits in their students such as hard work, organisation and responsibility.
Ofsted rated the school as "outstanding" stating:
"All students are very well prepared for their future lives, whatever their chosen paths,"
"Teachers have excellent subject knowledge and are adept at preparing students for examinations and building up their confidence."
Location
The school is accessible via Drayton Green station (5 minute walk).
Requirements
A UK recognised teaching qualification (BA QTS, CERT ED, PGCE)
Experience teaching English (Literature or Language) at secondary school (from KS3-KS4)
A caring and dedicated attitude
