Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting an English teacher on behalf of a client school located in Bury.
- Full time position from April 2018 (Permanent contract available)
- Teaching English to both KS3 and GCSE
- Large secondary school with a highly supportive senior leadership team
- Pay in line with MPS/UPS - £22,917 - £38,633
A rare opportunity has emerged within this schools English department in the New Year due to the expansion of their school and English department. Due to pupils on roll increasing year on year due to the schools excellent reputation, the head of English wishes to appoint an English teacher who is pursuing a progressive role.
The school are able to offer a permanent position from April 2018, whereby you will hold a timetable consisting mainly of KS3 classes for the remainder of the academic year. The incoming English teacher will also be required to support GCSE pupils prepare for examinations by delivering specific intervention programmes to identified learners.
Located on the outskirts of Bury city centre, this is an average sized Secondary School with just under 1000 pupils on roll across key stage 3 and 4. The number of children on roll who speak English as a second language is above the national average and the focus on language development and attainment levels achieved in English is a high priority. Access via travel is straight forward and the School is just a short drive from the M66 motorway.
