Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting an English teacher on behalf of our client school located within the Bolton region.

  • Full time English teacher (April 2018 start)
  • Temporary contract covering maternity leave (Up to 12 months)
  • Ofsted graded good secondary school with exemplary pupil behaviour
  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS dependant on experience

"Due to an upcoming maternity leave within our English department, we wish to appoint an English teacher who can provide engaging and enthusing practice to our pupils. With the current post holder due to go on leave following the Easter break, we hope to appoint an English teacher from April 2018. The successful English teacher will receive full support from a close knit department adapting to our vibrant and forward thinking department". - Head of English

The successful English teacher will hold a timetable consisting of both KS3 and GCSE classes. The head of department will offer full support to the incoming member of staff and you will be joining a friendly team made up of 7 others.

Situated within the Bolton Council, the school neighbours the communities of Atherton, Leigh, Farnworth and Hindley. It is average in size with around 1000 pupils on roll with number increasing year to year due to the ever increasing reputation of the school. The vast majority of children are of white British heritage and the number of pupils with learning difficulties or a statement for special needs is below the national average. Located close to Westhoughton, the School is easily accessible as it is only a short drive from the M61 and has direct transport links to the surrounding areas.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.
