Our client secondary school located in the Bebington area of Birkenhead is looking to recruit an English teacher to join their English department in September 2021. The successful English teacher is required to join this outstanding secondary school as a result of an upcoming maternity cover with the current English teacher due to go on their maternity during the summer break. The appointed English teacher will be teaching English (both Language and Literature) to GCSE level.

This is a maternity cover with the passionate teacher of English required for the duration of the new academic year 2021/2022. Whilst this is a maternity cover, there is the opportunity to progress onto a school based contract following this final term for the remainder of the maternity cover.

The Head of English said of this position:

“We are looking for an effective classroom practitioner to join us in our English department from Monday 6th September, for the duration of this academic year. We are looking for a passionate English teacher that can teach our intelligent students in both English Language and English Literature following the AQA syllabus. Teachers of any experience level are encouraged to apply with no preference over an experienced teacher or newly qualified, as long as they are effective in their practise”

Highlights of this English teaching position:

  • Pay will be in line with pay scale ranging between: GBP24,765 and GBP45,256
  • Full time English teaching position starting on Monday 6th September 2021
  • Duration for the entire academic year in the first instance with the opportunity to secure and move onto a school based contract
  • Teach AQA English Language and English Literature up to GCSE level
  • Outstanding secondary school situated in the Bebington area of Birkenhead

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
