The Role

I have several vacancies for English candidates at this school who are looking to bring on fully qualified teachers alongside NQTs or Graduates who are willing to learn and want to gain some experience. There are there are interviews commencing this week with a view for a September start date. Many schools are looking to fill the vacancies for the next academic year as soon as possible. Although there are vacancies at the moment, the stronger schools will have signed on their staff for the next academic year in the next few weeks.

The roles available would be a temporary role, but depending on the performance of the candidate and their relationship with the school this role could go permanent. The successful candidate would be required to work 8:30am till 3:30pm, 5 days a week as a full-time role.

The school are looking to recruit candidates who can strengthen their staff or candidates who are willing to learn from the more experienced staff members to strengthen and develop their own teaching style. The school would ideally like someone who will keep students engaged, planning and preparing exciting lessons with the aim to get students interested in learning. Marking students work and providing feedback would be a requirement, the ideal candidate would be willing to go the extra mile for their student. Any further experience, for example; working with SEN, languages or extra-curricular activities would be welcome.

The School

The school has a unique blend of historic tradition, with the main school being the original buildings from when they first opened, and new and modern facilities. The new facilities include a sixth form block and facilities for the arts, however, they are not just to benefit the students, but also the teachers. There has been a newly constructed staff room with a garden allowing teachers to work in peace or simply get some much deserved quiet time.

Ofsted rated the school as "outstanding" commenting on the strong leadership within the school and a productive sixth form stating:

"All students are very well prepared for their future lives, whatever their chosen paths."

The school is accessible via Drayton Green station (less than a 15 minute walk).
