Job description

English Supply Teacher – Secondary School (KS3 & KS4)

Start: After February Half Term
Location: Northamptonshire

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a welcoming and well-regarded secondary school to recruit an English Supply Teacher to join them after February half term.

This role will predominantly involve teaching English across KS3 and KS4, with some general cover required as part of the timetable. The school is looking for someone who can hit the ground running, engage students quickly, and maintain high expectations in the classroom.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Be confident teaching English at KS3 and KS4

  • Have a positive, enthusiastic approach to teaching and learning

  • Demonstrate strong behaviour management skills

  • Be adaptable and comfortable covering a range of lessons when needed

  • Hold QTS (or be an experienced unqualified teacher with relevant secondary experience)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
