Cover supervisor

Location - Northampton and surrounding areas

Contract - Full time

Start date - Immediate

 

We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic cover supervisor to join out teaching team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young people and supporting learning in a school environment.

As a Cover supervisor, you will supervise classes during short term absence of teaching staff, ensuring pupils remain on task and follow the work set by the teacher. You will maintain a positive learning atmosphere, manage classroom behaviour effectively, and provide general support to students as needed/

 

Key responsibilities

- Supervise whole classes across a range of subjects.

- Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and instructions

- Maintain classroom discipline in line with school policies.

- Support students to stay focused and engaged in their learning.

-Report back to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour.

 

We are looking for someone who:

- Has experience working with children or young people (desirable)

- Is confident managing a classroom environment.

- Has strong communication and organisational skills.

- Is flexible, dependable, and professional.

- Holds GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (minimum)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
