English Intervention specialists needed in Blackburn School

A school in the Blackburnarea have approached Teaching Personnel to help with the recruitment of Teaching Assistants specialised in intervention within the English Department. The school is looking to recruit an English intervention specialist to complete intervention with pupils identified by their mock exams before the Christmas break.

The school has requested candidates with an outgoing and enthusiastic personality. The school is looking for candidates who would be comfortable working 1-1 with targeted pupils to raise the attainment levels with their English GCSE's. The role will also include working closely with teachers to support small groups of pupils within English lessons.

A suitable candidate for this role would be outgoing, hardworking, resilient and enthusiastic about making a difference to pupils' education. To be considered a candidate should have experience working with children, be enthusiastic about working in a secondary school and have a degree in English (desirable not essential). The school would also be keen to welcome applications from Teachers looking to move into a support role.

A candidate which was successful would benefit from an easily accessible school with excellent transport links from the M65. Depending on experience there is a negotiable pay rate from £300-400/week.
