Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Are you a confident, positive and adaptable HLTA looking for a role where every day is different?
We’re working with a welcoming, community-focused primary school in CF11; just a 2-minute walk from the train station – who are looking to appoint a versatile HLTA to join their team.
In this role, you’ll be right at the heart of school life – supporting wherever you’re needed most! From leading interventions across different year groups, assisting with outdoor learning and PE, to helping with cooking activities and creative projects, you’ll play a key part in keeping the school running smoothly.
What you’ll be doing:

Supporting teachers and pupils across all age groups
-
Running small-group or 1:1 interventions in literacy, numeracy or wellbeing

Helping with outdoor learning, sports and enrichment sessions
-
Assisting with cooking, creative, and practical classroom activities
-
Stepping in to cover classes when needed

Being a reliable, positive presence around the school
What we’re looking for:

HLTA qualification or equivalent experience

A proactive, can-do attitude and genuine passion for supporting children

Someone confident, friendly and flexible – happy to get involved in all aspects of school life

A team player who brings positivity and energy to the role

Someone looking to grow – the school want to invest in the right person!
Location: CF11 – 2 minutes’ walk from the train station
Hours: Full-time, term-time only
Pay: Competitive, dependent on experience

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
