Are you an English Graduate looking for experience in an exciting Teaching Assistant role? Teaching Personnel are working alongside a large Secondary school in Prestwich who are hoping to recruit recent English Graduates for a number of Teaching Assistant roles to start in September 2019.

This position is perfect for a recent English Graduate looking to pursue a career in Secondary teaching, as it provides significant experience before entering into a teacher training programme.

  • English Graduates are welcome to apply for this position
  • Available to start from September 2019
  • There a number of support roles available
  • Number of pupils with SEN (Special Educational Needs)
  • The role will include working alongside the class teacher in supporting students within the classroom
  • May include dealing with challenging behaviour so any experience with this is valued
  • Include covering pre-planned lessons in the absence of the class teacher
  • Gain substantial experience prior to beginning teacher training
  • Dependent on previous experience, earn up to £300 per week
  • Work with pupils aged 11-16 in a large Secondary school

As an English Graduate Teaching Assistant within our client school, responsibilities will include working alongside children who require additional support including children with SEN. Other responsibilities will include working with the class teacher to support the class, as well as covering pre-planned lessons when a teacher is absent. This experience will boost future opportunities for teacher training applications and may result in a direct school placement, depending on success.

Our partner Secondary school is looking for a Teaching Assistant who can aid challenging pupils' attainment alongside providing behaviour management interventions. Our client school does provide excellent behavioural support for their staff however; any experience with challenging behaviour or behaviour management training will be highly valued.

Located in the Prestwich region of Manchester, our client Secondary school can be accessed via the M60 and A576 from surrounding areas such as Bury and Bolton. For non-drivers, the Secondary school can be accessed via several public transportation links from areas such as Bolton, Bury and central Manchester.
