Exciting Opportunity for an English Graduate Teaching Assistant!

 

Are you an enthusiastic and motivated English graduate looking to kickstart your career in education? Teaching Personnel is delighted to offer a full-time position for an English Graduate Teaching Assistant at an Ofsted-rated "Good" secondary school in Sheffield. This role commences after Easter and continues until the end of the academic year, with the potential for permanent placement based on performance.

 

Role Details:

Position: English Graduate Teaching Assistant

Duration: Full-time, starting after Easter until the end of the academic year

Potential: Opportunity for permanent placement based on performance

Salary: £1540 - £1900 per month

 

Responsibilities: As an English Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the teaching and learning of English within the school.

Your responsibilities will include:

  •  Assisting the English department with the planning and delivery of lessons, providing support to both individual students and groups.
  • Working closely with classroom teachers to provide additional help to students who may require extra support with their English studies.
  • Supporting students with literacy skills development, including reading, writing, and comprehension.
  • Providing feedback and encouragement to students to help them achieve their academic goals.
  • Engaging students in English-related activities and fostering a love for the subject.

 

Requirements:

  • A degree in English or a related subject.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Passion for English literature and language.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Patience, empathy, and a desire to make a positive impact on students' education.
