Early Years Teaching Vacancy - Maternity Cover - April 2019 start

One-form entry Blackburn Primary School

The Role

Teaching Personnel are currently working alongside a one form entry Primary School in Blackburn who are looking to source a Specialist EYFS Teacher to join their welcoming team from April 2019. Due to a recent resignation the school are looking to appoint a practitioner with a proven track record delivering the Early Years curriculum to children in Reception. This is a full time teaching role, the Head teacher is looking for a practitioner who is keen to get involved in all aspects of school life such as attending staff meetings and participating in half-termly parents evenings.

The class itself is made up of 28 pupils and the majority of children are working in line with age related expectations. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who feels confident and comfortable directing and deploying a number of TA's. The Early Years Unit has a long waiting list and this is a popular school within the local area.

Your School

This school have been working with Teaching Personnel for a number of years. We hold a long-standing relationship with SLT and understand the school ethos. This school generally do not use a great deal of supply, however the staff that have worked in school through Teaching Personnel have have thoroughly enjoyed their time there and have expressed the school is made up of a welcoming close knit team. Due to the nature of this role, the Head teacher would like to observe practitioners within your current setting (if possible) to observe how you respond with the children and also how you plan for TA's. If you are not currently in a teaching role, the Head teacher will arrange a suitable time to observe you delivering a lesson within their school setting.

NQT's and RQT's are welcome to apply for this post and a positive and open-minded attitude is essential.
