Teaching Personnel are working with a school in Slough who are seeking a full time EYFS Teaching Assistant
You will be required to support pupils within an Early Years (EYFS). In line with the EYFS framework, you will support pupils' development towards Early Learning Goals within a continuous provision environment. As well as supporting access to activities such as Phonics, Literacy and Numeracy you will also facilitate activities designed to develop pupils' emerging skills in communication and language, physical development and personal, social and emotional development.
As an experienced Early Years Practitioner, you will have a firm understanding of working within EYFS and will be able to demonstrate your knowledge of:
- Child development, both the biological and cultural aspects, and its impact on how learning may best be supported
- Planning which ensures a relevant, motivating, flexible and interesting curriculum
- Provision of an environment which truly enables successful learning by all childrenThe successful applicant will have at least 6 months experience within a Nursery setting and may also have additional qualifications in Childcare and Education (i.e. CACHE or BTEC National Diploma).
- In addition to supporting pupils, you may also be required to support pupils within Key Stage 1 and 2 during break and lunchtimes. Due to the complex nature of pupil needs, you will also provide personal care.
