Experienced SEN Learning Support Assistant – Redhill

Location: Redhill, Surrey
Job Type: Full-time 
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Learning Support Assistant to join our supportive and inclusive team in Redhill. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of children and young people with special educational needs.

The successful candidate will work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to provide tailored support for pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN

  • Assist in implementing individual education plans (IEPs)

  • Support pupils’ academic, emotional, and social development

  • Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in learning

  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff and parents/carers

  • Help create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment

Requirements

  • Previous experience working as an SEN Learning Support Assistant or similar role

  • Strong understanding of a range of special educational needs

  • Patient, empathetic, and resilient approach

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

  • Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support are desirable

  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
