Early Years Teacher - Hayes, Hillingdon

Are you a strong Early Years Teacher with experience or understanding of working with children who have Autism?

If you are based in or around the Hayes/Northolt area we want to hear from you!

We have an exciting and challenging opportunity in a well-established Special Educational Needs (SEN) Primary School based in Hayes End, Hillingdon. With three additional autism classes to open in September 2019 they are looking for Early Years teachers who can start for the Summer term (from 23rd April 2019).

The school are looking to appoint nursery or EYFS experienced practitioners with a proven track record of quality teaching, particularly with children with autism. Autism teaching experience is highly desirable but not ideal as training will be provided. Classes are small with up to 8 pupils with a small team of trained SEN staff to support pupils in class and across the school.

Successful teacher applicants will join a well trained and established team on an exciting journey to further develop their school.

Successful candidates will:

  • Demonstrate a record of quality teaching practice
  • Have good understanding of teaching children with autism or direct experience
  • Demonstrate a creative approach to delivering curriculum and resources for children with autism
  • Be fully committed to learning from and contributing to a team to achieve best outcomes for pupils
  • Have outstanding communication skills to engage both with children, parents and colleagues
