Early Years TA in Lincoln

This vacancy has now expired.

Job description

A primary SEN specialist school in Lincoln is currently looking for a Teaching Assistant to support on an ongoing basis in their EYFS class. The school provides education for those from 4 - 11 years, with a range of needs including Autism, Severe Learning Difficulties and Physical Disabilities.

The school is custom built with specific facilities in order to ensure all individual needs are met. Class sizes are much smaller than those in mainstream and often have a maximum of 8 students in any one class. Many students are working to low levels and a sensory based curriculum. For the most part, the needs include Autism, ADHD, SLD, PMLD and challenging behaviour.

The ideal Teaching Assistant will be required to support across various classes within the school. You will be required to support the students on both an educational and emotional level. Although the age groups are from 11 to 19 years, the ideal teacher must be comfortable teaching on a primary based model, with a nurturing approach. Teaching within a SEN experience would be advantageous.

If you are a Teaching Assistant and local to the North Hykeham area, or can easily access the area, please contact Letitia Cluskey. In order to apply, you will be required to register with Teaching Personnel (free of charge) and have a Child Only DBS on the update service.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Please see for details.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.

Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All candidates must undertake or have undertaken a valid enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Full assistance provided.
