Early Years Support Practitioner - Knowsley

  • Do you want to secure yourself a long term position?
  • Do you have experience working in EYFS?
  • Do you have experience supporting children with SEN?Are you free for work in September?...Teaching Personnel are currently working with a faith Primary School in Knowsley who are in need of a skilled Support Assistant to work full time in the Reception class. You will be supporting a child with SEN on a 1:1 basis in the EYFS classroom. The child has been diagnosed with Autism and requires additional support during whole class sessions and small group activities. The Practitioner must be dedicated and passionate, who has an encouraging personality and who will help the child make progress socially and academically.You will need to hold the following;
  • This is a two form entry, high performing primary school. You must be able to uphold the Christian Ethos in school as the school work in line with the Christian faith, particularly implementing the personalised visions and values. This faith school prides itself on the supportive Senior Leadership Team and there is good parental engagement. The position is to start in September 2019, on a full time basis and will be for the full academic year until July 2020. There is a potential that the role will be extended further as the child progresses into Year 1.

  • Experience in EYFS or School environment
  • Available for full time work
  • Enthusiastic and passionate about the Early Years Sector
  • Level 2 qualified or above
  • Core Subject Knowledge of Maths and English
  • Good behaviour management skills
  • Experience of delivering Phonics

The salary is based on a 6.5 hour position, Monday to Friday, and depending on experience, this could vary between £9.50-£11.00 per hour.
