Currently recruiting for a Qualified Nursery Nurse to join well established Private Nursery in Henley (RG9). This Nursery is part of a small ground and due to their recent success and growth, they are now looking for Qualified Nursery Assistants and Room Leaders.

This nursery cares for over 60 children and the role is based in their toddler room. This is a permanent role, working 40 hours a week. As a Level 3 qualified Nursery Nurse, you role would be to assist with training the junior and unqualified Nursery Assistants and also having key children.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of Level 3 Early Years qualification and previous experience as a Nursery Nurse or Nursery Room Leader.

Nursery Nurse Duties include but not limited to:

  • Changing nappies
  • Feeding babies
  • Completing observations and learning journals
  • Following the Early Years Foundation Curriculum
  • Teaching phonics schemes to small groups
  • Individual planning
  • Putting babies to bed
  • Preparing food and drinks
  • 2 year checks
  • Helping babies learn how to walk and talk
  • Building relationships with the children and parents

    Nursery Nurse Requirements:
  • Minimum Level 2 and Level 3 qualification in childcare education
  • Good interpersonal skills and an ability to be organised and efficient
  • The ability to support trainees through mentoring and coaching
  • Acting as Key-worker and to observe
  • A working knowledge of the Children’s Act.
  • Experience working with babies
  • Good communication skills both with children and parents
  • Ability to form good interactions with children and use own initiative
  • Knowledge of Ofsted requirements and the EYFS.
  • Working 40 hours per week

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later
