Join an Award-Winning and Prestigious School's Brand-New Nursery Provision

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to join the team at our award-winning and prestigious school as we embark on an exciting new chapter with the opening of our nursery provision.

This is a unique opportunity to become part of a small, supportive, and growing team, helping to shape a nurturing and inspiring environment where children can thrive from the very beginning of their educational journey. We are looking for an enthusiastic practitioner who is eager to contribute ideas, embrace new challenges, and play an integral role in establishing outstanding nursery practice.

The Role

As an Early Years Practitioner, you will provide high-quality care and education in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), ensuring every child feels safe, valued and inspired to learn.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities that support children's learning and development.
  • Observing, assessing and recording children's progress, contributing to learning journals and identifying next steps.
  • Supporting children's personal, social and emotional development, encouraging independence, confidence and curiosity.
  • Acting as a Key Person for a group of children, building strong and trusting relationships with children and their families.
  • Ensuring the safety, wellbeing and safeguarding of all children at all times.
  • Supporting daily care routines, including feeding, nappy changing and toileting, in a respectful and child-centred manner.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe and stimulating learning environment.
  • Playing an active role in establishing nursery routines, systems and best practices within a brand-new setting.
  • Contributing ideas to help shape the nursery environment, provision and daily practice.
  • Supporting across different rooms and age groups as required.
  • Working collaboratively within a close-knit team and developing positive partnerships with parents and carers.

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

  • A full and relevant Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification.
  • Experience working with children aged 0–5 years.
  • A sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
  • A proactive, flexible approach and the confidence to use their own initiative.
  • A willingness to roll up their sleeves and contribute to all aspects of nursery life.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Availability to work throughout the year, as this is not a term-time only position.

Why Join Us?

  • Be part of an award-winning and highly regarded school community.
  • Help establish and shape a brand-new nursery from the ground up.
  • Work within a supportive and collaborative environment where your ideas and expertise will be valued.
  • Enjoy the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of young children during their most important developmental years.

If you are an enthusiastic Early Years professional looking to be part of something special, we would love to hear from you.
