Graduate EAL Teaching Assistant.

Are you a recent graduate with a passion for education?

 

Are you looking for more classroom based experience?

Teaching Personnel are recruiting for Graduate EAL Teaching Assistants to support a number of primary schools in Norwich. The current situation has put a huge strain on the educational system and its pupils. This may be particularly true for pupils who have English as a second language. To stop these pupils from falling behind whilst working from home we require highly motivated graduates to support these pupils both in an online capaciity and in schools.

EAL Graduate Teaching Assistant-- The Role:
Work alongside a talented and supportive department
Varied and exciting -- crucial experience prior to teaching training
Supporting a class teacher working with students on a 1 to 1 and group basis
Develop teaching techniques and communication skills
Monitor student progress
Support pupils with a range of academic ability
Lead 1:1 / small group intervention sessions
Fantastic inclusion department with experienced and supportive staff
Take on feedback to continually improve your practice
Offer extra-curricular activities if/when required

EAL Graduate Teaching Assistant-- Person Specification:
2:1 or 1st class degree
Fluent in additional language desirable
Excellent organisation and communication skills
Previous work with young people is desirable
Supportive and inspiring personality
Patient and empathetic mentality is crucial
'Can do' attitude and ambition to progress into teacher training
Strong academic background
Passionate about education
TEFL trained desirable

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
