A client school is looking for a Bi-lingual teaching assistant, who is fluent in Urdu/Punjabi to join their team. The individual is required to work with 2 pupils, in the Year 3 class, who have recently joined the school. Both children are really enthusiastic and are keen to get stuck in, however there is a slight language barrier which is affecting their learning.

The school is an average sized primary school based in Rochdale. There is a strong family feel there and staff members are supported well by the Head teacher. The school has maintained its ‘Good’ Ofsted rating for a number of years and continues to improve in all aspects. The children’s behaviour is outstanding and they are really motivated and hard-working.

The Year 3 class is currently well supported by a Teaching Assistant. The additional TA will simply be required to work closely, with both EAL pupils, during their lessons and sometimes outside of the classroom. The role is on a full time, long term basis with the possibility of becoming long term if agreed by the Head teacher.

Please apply if you;

  • Are fluent in Urdu/Punjabi
  • Have a Level 3 qualification or equivalent
  • Have prior experience working with children in an Educational Setting
  • Have a real passion and desire about education
  • Are able to work to a high standard and motivate children to do the same
  • Are willing to confidently build respectful relationships with both pupils and staff
  • Are able to start immediately

If you meet the above criteria and are able to commit to this position, then please apply below.
