EAL Teaching Assistant - Tameside

Teaching Personnel are working in exclusive partnership with a client secondary school in Tameside who are looking to appoint an EAL Teaching Assistant, on a full-time temporary basis, to support pupils who speak English as an additional language.

  • EAL Teaching Assistant - Tameside
  • Full-time (Mon to Fri, 8:30 - 3:30)
  • September to December initially, likely to be needed for the full academic year.
  • Earn up to £1200 per month!
  • Supporting EAL pupils (native languages include; Arabic, Spanish, French)
  • Providing in-class support as well as working in small groups and on 1:1 with these pupils across core KS3 and KS4 subjects
  • Opportunity to work at a supportive secondary school in Tameside
  • Situated in a catchment area which has high levels of pupils with EAL

Candidate requirement:

  • Bilingual or multilingual
  • Patient by nature and able to communicate effectively
  • Previous experience working with EAL is essential
  • TEFL and TESOL qualifications are very desirable
