Design Technology teacher (Northampton)
Are you a Design Technology teacher seeking a new position? Teaching Personnel are recruiting on behalf of a secondary school based in central Northampton who is seeking a teacher of design technology to join them after Easter on a full time basis until the end of the academic year.
The school:
Staff members believe that the school is a unique learning environment where academic and personal achievement is central. All students are provided with the fundamental foundations needed to thrive and prosper - this is facilitated by a broad curriculum delivered by talented staff. The school have close links to public services and frequently participate in partnered activities including police, health, fire and voluntary services. At Key Stage 3 and 4 a progressive curriculum is provided across the core subjects, with a focus on crime science integrated throughout the school. Support is tailored to individual pupil needs and due to its place in the heart of the community; staff members promote cohesion by working with not just students, but families. The IQM Centre of Excellence award was also accredited to the school recently.
The role:
The role will involve teaching mainly Product/Graphic design to Key Stage 3, 4 and 5 students. There may be other Design Technology elements involved in the timetable. You will be able to plan and deliver engaging lessons which are accessible to all learning styles. The ideal candidate will be competently monitoring student results to ensure suitable progress is made. You must have outstanding behaviour management skills and be enthusiastic about supporting young people.
What can we offer you?
As the market leader for education recruitment, Teaching Personnel can offer you a number of benefits including ongoing guidance and support from a sector specialist recruitment consultant. You will also have access to our unique CPD academy where training courses can be completed at subsidised costs. There could also be a permanent opportunity at the end of the placement.
