DT teacher (Northampton)

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced teacher of Design Technology to teach Product Design and Resistant Materials on a full time basis.

Key information:

  • Full time position teaching Design and Technology from September 2019
  • Covering maternity leave - Until summer 2020
  • Ofsted graded Good Secondary school located in Northampton
  • Teaching Design Technology to KS3/KS4 with the opportunity to teach KS5
  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS based on the 2019/2020 scales
  • Supportive department with excellent senior management team

The Academy was recently praised in their Ofsted Inspection where the quality of leadership and behaviour throughout the school was described as Outstanding. The Head of Technology is looking to recruit a hard working, passionate teacher of DT to deliver the curriculum to Key Stage 3 and 4. The role will include teaching GCSE Product Design and Resistant Materials as well as General DT from years 7-9. The successful applicant will join a forward thinking Technology team who are passionate about supporting students to achieve success and reach their targets. The school are looking for a teacher that can motivate young people and prepare lessons which are exciting.

Although the candidate would be covering a Maternity post, there could be a permanent opportunity for someone that is able to maximise the potential of students through inspiring curriculum delivery. This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced teachers of DT who are seeking a new challenge, as well as NQT's who are looking for their first placement in a supportive and vibrant secondary school.
