Design and Technology Teacher - Chesterfield
Teaching Product Design and Resistant Materials at KS3 and GCSE
Supply rate of £110 - £160 per day initially
Immediate start until July 2019 - full time post
Due to an unforeseen absence, our client school in Chesterfield has the need for a Design and Technology teacher to join them on a temporary basis until the end of this academic year, teaching predominantly Resistant Materials and Product Design across Key Stage 3 and 4.
- Full time position teaching Design and Technology at Key Stage 3 and GCSE
- Immediate start for suitable Design and Technology teachers until July 2019
- Small and modern secondary with added sixth form in Chesterfield
- M Scale equivalent initially (£22,467 - £33,160 per annum)
Our client school are looking for an experienced Design and Technology teacher with strong subject knowledge, excellent behaviour management and the ability to deliver high quality lessons across KS3 and GCSE. The ability to engage students in the subject and ensuring they are reaching their potential. The school has a Christian ethos in which students are encouraged to grow spiritually, socially and academically.
Situated off the M1 motorway in Chesterfield, the school can be easily accessed by drivers, along with those who do not who can benefit from the excellent bus services in the local area.
The ideal teacher will have;
* UK QTS or relevant teaching based qualification specialising in Design and Technology
* Previous experience teaching Product Design/Resistant Materials at KS3 and GCSE
* Excellent behaviour management and ability to quickly build rapport with more challenging students
