Teacher of Design Technology to start September 2020

The school are looking to appoint a temporary teacher of Design Technology from September until the end of the year with the ability to teach across KS3/KS4 and make a significant contribution to the schools Technology department. The post would be suitable for an NQT seeking to start their teaching career as part of an effective and supportive team. We will be considering all applicants up until the closing date and interviews will be held on a rolling basis. This position is paid to national MPR/UPR pay scale: GBP24373 to GBP41635

NQTs applying for this role will be given full support by a team of mentors in senior leadership as well as the technology Department. All staff is offered ongoing CPD on a weekly basis to improve teaching practise across the school.

Students at this school are generally well behaved and low level classroom disruption is at a minimum throughout the classrooms in school. The school are happy for candidates to come in for a brief meeting prior to an interview with observed lesson in order to showcase their school and the students, which is a brilliant opportunity to see and experience the atmosphere of the school which we are sure you will agree is a brilliant working environment.

The school located in Whitchurch which continues to be an Outstanding School; offer a strong leadership team and a highly caring and supportive ethos with able and friendly staff. This is often attributed to the open and relaxed way in which the school is run which leads to happier staff and excellent retention rates. They are easily reached from Winchester, Southampton, and Basingstoke via the M3 and A34 as well as London with fast rail links, and they are only a short drive from Andover.

The school prides itself on having up to date and state of the art equipment necessary for all staff to join and quickly get to grips with the workshops. This allows you to focus on the learning and safety of your students from the first day and means you will be able to have the freedom to teach unrestricted by lack of resources and tools.

The school has been Ofsted outstanding for the past 9 years; previous to this the school was graded at Good.
