Design Technology Teacher

Job description

On behalf of a partner school, Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit a Design Technology Teacher with a specialism in Resistant Materials, Engineering or Product Design. The role, which will commence ASAP, is at a school in the Gateshead area. Design & Technology is taught across Key Stages 3, 4 & 5, therefore the successful candidate must teach up to KS4 (KS5 would be highly desirable). As it is a maternity cover, it will run until the end of the academic year, however there is scope for it to become a permanent position.

About the role:

•Design and Technology Teacher, with knowledge up to KS4

•Specialism in Resistant Materials, Engineering or Product Design

•Located in Gateshead with easy access from surrounding areas

•Starting ASAP, at the latest November 2019

•Pay in line with MPS/UPS (GBP23,720 - GBP39,406) with weekly pay

•Teaching KS3-KS4 D+T lessons

The successful Teacher will:

•Be able to create fun and interactive lessons to engage every student

•Have previous experience teaching D+T Secondary school students

•Be a team player to work in a strong Design department team

•Be able to commit to a full time Teacher role
