Full-time Design and Technology (DT) teacher required from September 2019 on a fixed term temporary basis until the end of the academic year (2019/2020).

Are you an experienced Design and Technology teacher with a specialism in Graphics, Resistant Materials or Textiles and wish to secure a full-time position from September 2019? If so, please see the details below of the position available within our client secondary school in Bolton;

  • Full-time Design and Technology teacher required, September 2019 start.
  • Position for twelve months, until July 2020 - teaching Key Stage Three Resistant Materials, Graphics and Textiles.
  • Opportunity to work within an Ofsted graded 'Good' secondary school in Bolton.
  • Must hold QTS alongside relevant degree level qualifications within Design and Technology.
  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS £23,720 - £39,406 per annum.

This recently converted secondary Academy has approximately 550 pupils on roll, aged 11-16, with state of the art facilities and resources on site, the school has been graded 'Good' by Ofsted across all sectors. The Design and Technology department and the staff team have continued working hard towards pupils progressing across Key Stages 3 and 4 and this will be a responsibility of the incoming Design and Technology teacher.

The responsibilities of the incoming Design and Technology teacher will be as follows but may not be limited to;

  • Plan, prepare and monitor class work reporting back to Senior Leadership accordingly.
  • Experience working with the DT curriculum at Key Stage 3-4 essential and any additional experience will be highly beneficial.
  • Manage behaviour in accordance to the school behaviour policies.
  • Promote a growth mind set amongst all young people in order to raise attainment.

Located less than a few miles away from the Bolton City Centre, the Academy is perfectly situated to be accessible via the M61 and the surrounding areas; Bury, Wigan, Salford and Chorley. Public transport Links are also easily accessible, with the Bus and Train station a few miles away from the Academy.
