Primary Teacher – Flexible Opportunities Across Tameside

Are you a qualified and enthusiastic Primary Teacher seeking flexible working arrangements? Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting for dedicated educators to join our team, providing high-quality supply teaching to primary schools across Tameside and the surrounding areas.

Job Type: Day -to- Day Supply Teacher

Salary: £130-160 per day

Start date: Monday 1st December 2025

What does the role entail?

As a supply Primary Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons in accordance with school policies and the national curriculum, covering both planned and unplanned teacher absences. You will be expected to manage classrooms effectively, fostering a positive and engaging learning environment for all pupils. This role involves working across various Key Stages, from Early Years to Key Stage 2, requiring adaptability to different subjects, year groups, and teaching styles. On a day-to-day basis, you will follow lesson plans provided by the regular class teacher and when necessary, demonstrate initiative by preparing your own. Flexibility and availability at short notice are essential, as placements may range from same-day emergency cover to pre-booked absences such as PPA time or training days.

What are we looking for?

Applicants must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification, with experience teaching across Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a positive and adaptable approach to teaching, alongside strong classroom management skills to deliver engaging and effective lessons. An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service is essential. However, candidates without one must be willing to apply as part of the recruitment process.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
