We have a rewarding and challenging opportunity for criminology graduates supporting vulnerable children with social and emotional mental health needs at a primary and secondary school in Croydon. Being part of an academy trust with 7 schools across London and Surrey this is a highly sought after role with real career prospects for confident graduates.
This is an amazing school in Croydon where you will be able to strengthen your practical understanding of mental health and resources used to support these needs. Students range from the ages of 5 to 16 years old with a range of needs including moderate learning difficulties and social emotional mental health conditions.
The school are seeking youth workers and support workers for behaviour support assistant roles across Primary and Secondary classes. With roles to start in September 2019 for an academic year this is a job for those looking to kick start or develop skills to pursue a career.
What would you need to secure this job:
- MUST have Criminology qualifications or experience working with children or young people with challenging behaviour or mental health
- MUST live local to Croydon, Merton and Wimbledon.
- Commitment for regular work each Monday to Friday for an academic year (full time work)
