Cover Teacher - Rochdale

Are you looking for Cover Teacher work in Rochdale, covering lessons for absent members of staff?

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting on behalf of one of our client secondary schools in Rochdale who require a Cover Teacher on a full time basis to start as soon as possible. This role is due to cover a staff member leaving on maternity soon, and will be until the end of the academic year in the first instance.

  • Full time Cover Teacher required immediately
  • Role until at least July in the first instance
  • 'Outstanding' academy in Rochdale
  • Earn up to £125 per day (dependent on experience)

Our client secondary school is located in the Milnrow area of Rochdale, and was graded 'Outstanding' by Ofsted in their most recent inspection. The school is located a 10 minute walk from a tram stop as well as being accessible from the M62 motorway. With over 1200 students enrolled from the local areas of Hollingworth, Firgrove and Smithy Bridge and with an above average Progress 8 score of 0.39, it is clear the hard working and dedicated staff have an impact on the students' progress.

"We are justly proud of the high quality education we provide. We have high expectations and insist on high standards: we expect all of our pupils to work with a fantastic attitude to learning and to behave in a way which shows respect to themselves and others.

In September 2011 we were delighted to move into our brand new building, which was the result of twenty five million pounds worth of investment. This has provided our pupils and the local community with state of the art facilities in all subject areas which will enable us to further develop the academic, cultural and sporting interests of our pupils in an attractive modern environment." Headteacher.

As a Cover Teacher at our large, oversubscribed secondary academy you will be expected to cover lessons in a range of different subjects around the school. Prospective candidates should enjoy working with young people, whilst holding the ability to build a positive rapport with students with a range of different learners. Behaviour management skills of a high quality are desirable for this role, as well as experience of working in a secondary school setting.

If you would like to apply for this post as a Cover Teacher please apply via the link below or send an updated CV to Chris Beckenham at Manchester North Secondary directly, alternatively call on the number provided for further information.
