Date posted : 27/06/19
£57 - £65 per day + CPD Training

Job description

This vacancy has now expired. Please see similar roles below...

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a large secondary school in Stockton to provide for all their staffing requirements in the new academic year.

The school are looking for graduates or candidates with experience of working with young people to act as Cover Supervisors across the curriculum on both full or part time basis.

What does the role entail?

As a Cover Supervisor you will be required to go into lessons where the class teacher is absent to lead and deliver the lesson; all the classwork will be left for you and you may have support staff within the lesson to help.

Will I be suited to this role?

We have had people of all backgrounds do extremely well as a Cover Supervisor, the role is particularly suited to graduates who have an interest in teaching or individuals who have worked with young people or in school settings before. The biggest thing we look for is personality!

What challenges will I face?

As I am sure we all remember when we were at school seeing a supply teacher can sometimes be the green light for students to act up! This is why personality is so important! Luckily this school doesn't have any real behaviour challenges but as in every school there will be a couple who will try it on seeing a new face so a thick skin is often required!

What benefits will I receive?

You will receive experience that will be extremely beneficial specifically if you are looking to work in school settings in the future. The role is also extremely rewarding as you make a real difference to young people!

We also offer a competitive pay package and courses to help you on your way.

If you or anyone you know would be interested in working with us would be interested in doing a similar role in a different area please do not hesitate to get in touch with Kayla on 0191 223 5074 or via email at
