Cover supervisor, Youth Work - Basingstoke Secondary School

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for local cover supervisors within the Basingstoke area to service one of our partner schools who are very busy with supply work due to the size of their school. This large secondary school is recruiting for at least two cover supervisors to join them on a permanent ad hoc basis covering the lessons of the teachers across a variety of subjects whilst they are unavailable, due to planned or unplanned absence.

This role is excellent for teaching assistants looking to take a step up and graduates who are interested in training to teach in the future who are looking to build experience in education for their portfolio. The role itself would consist of working from 8.30am until 15.00pm, with the daily rate of pay being £65-£80 for five and a half hours work, with no planning or marking to take home.

The school itself is a large secondary school catering to mainstream pupils aged 11-16, with an academic outlook and good behaviour. The school is oversubscribed due to the popularity of this school over other local schools. The staff at the school including SLT and teaching staff are friendly and helpful, and are keen to have a cover supervisor join them who is ambitious and proactive.

The school are happy to help all graduates who have shown the correct skills and interest levels to train to teach in the future, as part of the learning school group they are part of. They are interested in meeting interested applicants for a casual meeting and to shadow for the day if necessary.

If you are interested in this role apply today and Jim from the Teaching Personnel Secondary team will be in touch to inform you about the role in greater depth!
