Or perhaps you are an experience unqualified Teacher looking for your next role?

If you are looking for flexible work as a classroom Cover Supervisor in a secondary school from September, look no further!

Teaching Personnel are currently working in partnership with an fanstastic client secondary school in the Blandford area who are looking to recruit a Cover Supervisor from September on a flexible, temporary basis.

What is a Cover Supervisor?

As a Cover Supervisor, you will cover a range of lessons in the absence of class teachers. This particular role is on a long term basis at the same school, starting in September up until January 2020.

Each day, you will report to the cover manager of the school to be briefed on your timetable for the day. Your day to day responsibilities will involve delivering pre-set work to a class of pupils and ensure they remain on task with this. Once the lesson is completed, you will collect in the work and hand it back to the appropriate teacher.

Cover Supervising is unqualified teaching and so will give you the best first hand experience of managing a classroom if considering a career in secondary teaching!

  • Flexible work to suit your availability (e.g. 2 - 5 days a week)
  • Starting September 2019 - regular work through the year
  • CPD opportunities including a free safeguarding course and Team Teach etc.
  • Regular contact and support from your own Teaching Personnel Consultant
  • Great way to gain experience if considering a PGCE

The successful candidate will ideally:

  • Hold a degree
  • Have aspirations of becoming a secondary teacher
  • Be confident in order to manage a class of pupils well
  • Have previous experience in a similar setting or working with young people
  • Have a suitable DBS registered with the Update Service or be willing to apply for one
