Position: Cover Supervisor
Location: Richmond and surrounding areas
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Employment Type: Full-time/Part-time (Flexible options available)

About the Role:

Teaching Personnel is seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to work across secondary schools in the Richmond area. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning by supervising classes in the absence of the regular teacher. You will manage classroom behavior, deliver pre-set work, and ensure a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise classes across various subjects, ensuring students remain on task.

  • Follow lesson plans and instructions left by the absent teacher.

  • Manage classroom behavior in line with school policies.

  • Provide feedback to teaching staff on pupil progress and any issues.

  • Support students with their learning where necessary.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Confident in managing classroom dynamics.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Adaptable and able to think on your feet.

  • Previous experience working with young people (e.g., tutoring, mentoring, or youth work) is desirable but not essential.

  • A passion for education and supporting student development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
