Are you a recent graduate with experience in supporting students or pupils aged 11 - 16?

Are you interested in pursuing a career in education and looking to gain vital and useful experience prior to this within a secondary school?

Our client secondary schools in the Poole area are looking for Cover Supervisors to support within their secondary schools starting as soon as possible. There are a variety of opportunities within a number of different secondary schools including full time, part time and flexible roles. This is ideal for all types of candidates; so if you are only available for a selection of days each week or looking for flexible work then this role could be ideal.

The role of a Cover Supervisor involves covering for an absent teacher, leading the class and ensuring students remain engaged with the learning. The work is already set and the successful Cover Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring the behaviour of students remains positive and in line with school policies.

The Role:

  • Full time, part time and temporary flexible opportunities available at a number of secondary schools in the Poole area
  • Variety of secondary schools including Outstanding, Good and more challenging schools available depending on the individuals preference

The schools we work with often ask for cover supervisors on a daily basis. This can be with notice for a day or week's cover in advance or can be on a more reactive basis, calling in the morning. The successful Cover Supervisor should therefore be adaptable and flexible in their approach, able to travel to a number of different schools and able to adapt to different school values and policies. In return, the Cover Supervisor will benefit from consistent yet flexible work and gain invaluable experience of leading full classes within a secondary school.
