Cover Supervisor

A Bolton based Academy is seeking to appoint an ad-hoc Cover Supervisor to join their Academy from September 2019 to provide supervision of pupils in the absence of class teachers. As the successful Cover Supervisor you will to need to assist pupils in undertaking set tasks and activities, respond to questions and uphold standards of behaviour within the classroom.

If you are a highly flexible individual with good communication skills and above all enjoy working with young people please see the details below;

• Earn up to £350 per week depending upon previous experiences
• Previous experience working with young people is required for this position
• Located near to the M61, accessible via public transportation links.

Cover Supervisor - The Role

• Covering lessons in the absence of the class teacher with pre-arranged work.
• Building upon classroom presence and behaviour management
• Flexible working to suit your availability.
• Gain an insight into the daily structure of the school day.
• Gain invaluable experience prior to completing PGCE/teacher training.

In addition to cover needs, there will also be a requirement to work alongside existing staff in specific curriculum areas proving general support for departments and the administration team where required.

The school is located at the border line between Bury and Salford; easily accessible via the M61 and the surrounding areas, which include Bury, Wigan, Salford and Chorley. Public transport links are also easily accessible, with the Bus and Train station a few miles away from the school.
