Teaching Personnel are currently looking to recruit cover supervisors to work in a well structured, comprehensive school in Derby. If you have aspirations of becoming a secondary school teacher and don't know where to start, this could be the role for you!

Cover supervisor role and responsibilities:

As a cover supervisor, you will support the school, as a cover supervisor, in the event of short term teacher absence due to sickness and training days. You will be responsible for covering a range of subject lessons within the school depending on the needs, delivering pre-set work and ensuring pupils remain on task with this. As a result, the ideal candidate for this role will be confident with classroom management and be able to build a rapport with pupils.

The successful cover supervisor will join our larger than average secondary school in Derby as a member of support staff. Due to the size, cover supervisors are a frequent request from the school so we can keep you busy up to 5 days a week, depending on your availability. The school are very welcoming of cover supervisors and are very supportive of those who are considering a career in teaching.
