Cover supervisor – North Yorkshire– September 2020 (Possibly sooner)

Our client school in the surrounding York area would like to appoint a Cover supervisor to cover a range lessons. The school are offering an initial 1 term contract, which may be extended due to the nature of the position.

To be considered for this role, you must have previous experience of working in Schools, be flexible and be able to evidence good behaviour management. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking to become a Teacher in the future.

To secure this, our curriculum is constantly evolving as we respond to the changing needs of our students. We have a Stage not Age curriculum for GCSE option subjects and have built on our commitment to developing students’ leadership skills by introducing the Young Leaders Award. This complements existing opportunities such as our School Council, student Teaching and Learning group, Student Interview Panel and the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.

With almost 500 students, aged 11-18, we serve the community area, which gives our school a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere. We feel like a family and, as such, we know our students well making it a good place to work and learn.

We are proud of our achievements to date and I feel privileged to be leading the school through the next phase of its development, as we continue to improve for the benefit of our students.

  • Ensure that we have the right processes and relationships in place with parents, carers, students and other stakeholders so that they feel informed and engaged.
