Join a modern secondary school in Bury, supporting a range of departments and pupils aged 11-16.

  • Flexible cover supervisor roles available.
  • Secondary school based in Bury.
  • Flexible working hours.

  • Covering pre-planned lessons in the absence of the teacher.
  • Earn up to GBP350 per week.

Our client secondary school regularly requires cover supervisors to provide support when the teacher is unable to teach the lesson. This can be for a number of reasons including sickness, course cover or trip cover. Due to this particular school requiring a lot of cover; they are now looking to recruit both a full-time and part-time cover supervisor to join their support department.

The incoming cover supervisors will be expected to cover pre-planned lessons across a range of subject areas. The incoming cover supervisor will also be given the responsibility of managing behaviour and ensuring tasks are completed by pupils. The successful candidate will also be required to monitor pupil’s behaviour and report back any information that requires further action.

To be considered for this position you do not need a teaching qualification as all work will be pre-set. It will be important however, that you have some form of experience working with children or young people previously.

The school is based in Bury and is easily accessible via the A56 and M66 from surrounding areas such as Bolton and Prestwich. The academy can also be accessed via public transport links from neighbouring areas such as Radcliffe, Whitefield and Middleton.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
