Teaching Personnel work alongside the majority of Secondary Schools in Bury, providing Cover Supervisors throughout the academic year.

A Cover Supervisor role is perfect for individuals whose circumstances can change on a daily basis and therefore, require flexible work. This position is also perfect for candidates who are looking for flexible work alongside another role or current course.

  • Part-time roles available across several Secondary Schools in Bury from September 2019.
  • Day-to-day flexible work also available.
  • Deliver pre-planned lessons to cover a teacher's absence.
  • Earn up to £350 per week, depending on your experience.
  • Opportunity to work with behavioural difficulties.
  • Facilitate learning across varying levels of ability within specific subjects.
  • Gain invaluable experience towards teaching training applications.

Application Requirements

  • Ideally have previous experience working within Secondary education or have experience in a similar role with transferrable skills.
  • Any experience of working with individuals who have behavioural or learning difficulties desirable as these skills will be highly transferrable.

Working as a Cover Supervisor in our client schools, your roles and responsibilities may include:

  • Covering pre-planned lessons in the absence of teachers.
  • Covering a range of classes in different subject areas with a range of pupils varying in ages (11-16) and ability.
  • Assessing and evaluating pupils' progress in the absence of the teacher and being able to report this back efficiently for their return.
  • Managing behaviour and ensuring tasks are completed by pupils.
  • Working alongside senior teachers to improve attainment across a range of abilities.

Our partner schools are located across Bury and are easily accessible from surrounding areas of Greater Manchester including Wigan, Bolton and Salford via the M61 and A58. For non-drivers, our client schools can also be accessed via several forms of public transport.
