Cover Supervisor

Location: South West England, Dorset, Wimborne Minster

Job Type: Temporary, Part-Time

Primary Industry: Education and Training

Salary: £85 - £100 Per day

Job Duties:

As a Cover Supervisor, your main responsibility will be to supervise students in the absence of their regular teacher. This involves managing the classroom, ensuring students stay on task with pre-set work, and maintaining a positive learning environment. You will also be required to assist with any administrative tasks related to the classroom.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of GCSE qualifications in English and Maths
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage a classroom effectively

Education:

A Level qualifications or equivalent are preferred

Experience:

Prior experience working with students in an educational setting is desirable but not essential

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of classroom management techniques
  • Ability to follow lesson plans and instructions
  • Good interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant teaching assistant or cover supervisor qualifications
  • First aid certification

Working Conditions:

You will be working in a school environment, following the school's timetable and policies. The role is temporary and part-time, with hours varying based on the school's needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
