Job Title: Cover Supervisor – Secondary Schools
Location: Wellingborough
Pay: £100 – £150 pd
Start Date: Immediate

Are you passionate about working with young people and supporting their education? Are you looking for flexible work in local secondary schools?

We are currently seeking confident and reliable Cover Supervisors to join our team, working across a range of secondary schools in the Wellingborough area.

About the Role:

As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff. Your role will be to deliver pre-prepared lessons, maintain classroom discipline, and ensure students remain engaged in their learning.

This is an excellent opportunity for:

  • Graduates considering a career in teaching

  • Experienced cover supervisors or teaching assistants

  • Individuals with experience working with young people (e.g., youth work, sports coaching, tutoring)

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver set lessons and ensure a calm and productive classroom environment

  • Manage behaviour in line with school policies

  • Report back to teaching staff on student progress and any issues during cover

  • Support students in understanding and completing their work

Requirements:

  • Strong communication and classroom management skills

  • Ability to engage and motivate students

  • Adaptability and a calm, professional manner

  • A valid DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
