Cover Supervisor Opportunities – Secondary Schools in Salford

Are you a confident and professional educator with exceptional behaviour management skills? Do you have the ability to lead a classroom, uphold high standards, and support students in their learning journey? We are currently seeking experienced Cover Supervisors to work across a variety of secondary schools in Salford.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced Cover Supervisors, graduates considering a career in teaching, or education professionals seeking flexible or full-time roles within secondary education.

The Role

As a Cover Supervisor, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering pre-planned lessons in the absence of the classroom teacher.
  • Effectively managing classroom behaviour to maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Ensuring students remain engaged and focused throughout lessons.
  • Adhering to school policies and procedures, including safeguarding protocols.
  • Building positive relationships with students and colleagues.
  • Supporting the wider school community and collaborating as part of a team.
  • Providing constructive feedback to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour.

We are seeking individuals who:

  • Demonstrate strong behaviour management skills and confidence in leading a classroom.
  • Have excellent knowledge and understanding of safeguarding responsibilities.
  • Are reliable, professional, and adaptable.
  • Possess strong communication and organisational abilities.
  • Work effectively as part of a team and contribute positively to school life.
  • Have prior experience working with young people in an educational setting (desirable).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
