We are seeking a proactive and adaptable Cover Supervisor to oversee classes in the absence of the regular teacher. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about education and able to engage students effectively. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain experience in education or pursue a career in teaching.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Implement pre-prepared lesson plans and manage classroom behavior according to school policies.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive atmosphere where all students feel encouraged to participate and learn.
  • Manage any disciplinary issues in line with school procedures, seeking guidance from senior staff when necessary.
  • Provide feedback to the regular teacher on students' progress and any issues encountered during the lesson.
  • Maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment conducive to learning.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience working with children or young adults desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt to different classroom environments and follow lesson plans effectively.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • A passion for education and a commitment to supporting the academic development of young people.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
