Do you want to get experience of working with students but are unsure where to start?


 

Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for Cover Supervisors to work on a daily basis for both short and long term bookings. As a cover supervisor you will be required to ensure that the students are completing set work, as you cover the absence of the secondary school's staff member.

For any day to day or short term roles you will be working on an ad-hoc basis where we will contact you prior to your appointment in the school. This can allow you to choose when to work, enabling you full flexibility of the full-time/ part-time Cover Supervisor role. As a Cover Supervisor this could support your future decision to move into teaching as it can be a platform to enhance your teaching skills and secondary education knowledge.

Our Schools are increasingly relying on more Cover Supervisors as a way to cover the teacher's absence. The role of a cover supervisor is to supervise and manage a classroom in the absence of a class teacher. As a Cover Supervisor you will ensure pre-prepared class work is complete and to manage students behaviour in accordance with school guidelines.

We are keen to hear from graduate calibre candidates or candidates with behavioural management experience with a keen interest in working within secondary schools. You must be confident in your abilities within a classroom based environment and have the ability to build relationships with pupils and the other staff members.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
