Full time Cover Supervisor - Northampton and surrounding areas.

Are you passionate about education and ready to make a real difference in the classroom? We're looking for a confident, motivated Cover supervisor to join a vibrant secondary school in Northampton, supporting students and staff in creating a positive learning environment every day.

 

About the role 

As a cover supervisor, you'll step into the classroom to deliver pre-prepared lessons in the absence of the teacher. You'll maintain a clam and productive atmosphere, ensure pupils stay on task, and play a key part of supporting their progress

This is a full time position, ideal for aspiring teachers, graduates, or experienced classroom professionals who enjoy variety and responsibility.

 

Key responsibilities

 - Deliver pre-set lessons to classes across a range of subjects.

- Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a safe, positive learning space.

- Support students with their learning and engagement.

- Collaborate with teaching staff and senior leaders to maintain high standards.

 

We are looking for 

- Strong communication and organisational skills.

- Confidence in leading and managing a classroom

- A positive, professional attitude and genuine passion for education.

- Previous experience in schools or youth work

Hours- Full time term time only.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
