Cover Supervisor – Supply (Northamptonshire)
Location: Northamptonshire
Salary: £120 – £150 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Type: Flexible supply (day-to-day, short-term, and long-term placements)

About the Role

Are you passionate about education and looking for a flexible position that truly makes an impact? We are currently recruiting dedicated and adaptable Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools across Northamptonshire. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering pre-prepared lessons in the absence of the regular classroom teacher, helping to maintain a focused and engaging learning environment for students in Key Stages 3 and 4.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver pre-set lessons across a range of subjects

  • Ensure classroom behaviour aligns with school policies

  • Support students with their work and respond to questions where appropriate

  • Provide feedback to teaching staff on student behaviour and progress

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs (including Maths and English at grade C or above)

  • Experience working with young people is desirable, though not essential – full training provided

  • Confident behaviour management skills

  • Strong communication and organisational abilities

  • Reliable, flexible, and committed to supporting students' learning

Pay rates include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This is a temporary position, but in some cases, there may be opportunities for permanent placement.
