Job description

Cover Supervisor – Unqualified Teacher

Teaching Personnel are currently looking to recruit a motivated and committed Cover Supervisor. We are working with a secondary school in Hereford with a very good reputation. The school has excellent transport links along with easy access via public transport.

The students ages range between 11-18.

If you are looking to gain classroom experience before considering a move into education or you would like the role of a teacher without the planning, then Cover Supervisor could be the perfect fit for you.

As a Cover Supervisor you will be expected to manage the behaviour of the students in the class and deliver the planned lessons whilst supporting and helping bring the best out of the pupils.

No previous experience within a classroom is necessary. However, a passion for working in education and with students is a must!

The successful Candidate should

-          Be comfortable in front of a classroom.

-          Possess the skills to manage students’ behaviour and ensure they stay on task.

-          Be dependable, adaptable and flexible.

-          Have good communication skills with students and staff.

-          Have the ability to cover a variety of subjects.

The pay rate for this role is between £100 -£120 (depending on experience).

The hours are from 8.30am-3.30pm.

The start date is 20th May 2024.

Requirements

  • DBS cleared & on the update service.
  • Be able to provide 2 references.
  • Have the right to work in the UK.
  • Have up to date safeguarding training or willing to take it. (Provided for free by Teaching Personnel)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
